Namaquasan Bioactives, Inc. ("Namaquasan," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website namaquasan.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

We collect information in three ways: information you submit directly to us, information collected automatically as you browse, and information we receive from third-party tools we use to run the Site.
Information you submit directly
Supplier Intake form: name, email address, company name, product/ingredient details, and any additional information you choose to provide about your business.
Contact form: name, email address, and the content of your message.
Any email correspondence you send us directly.
Information collected manually
Usage data such as pages visited, time spent on the Site, referring website, browser type, and device type, collected via google analytics.
Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 2.5, Cookies).
Information from third parties
We use third-party service providers to operate parts of the Site, including form processing and email/CRM tools (Resend). These providers may process your information on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices, which we've reviewed as part of choosing them.
2.2 How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to Supplier Intake submissions and Contact form inquiries.
Evaluate suppliers for potential inclusion in the Namaquasan Supplier Database.
Provide Botanical Intelligence content, Qualification Reports, and related advisory services you request.
Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
Communicate with you about your inquiry, submission, or our services (we do not send marketing email unless you separately opt in).
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
2.3 How We Share Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
With service providers who help us operate the Site (hosting, form processing, email/CRM, analytics), under contractual obligations to protect your data.
If you are a registered Supplier, limited, anonymised details about your product may be made visible to Buyers through the Supplier Database, consistent with the scoring and comparison model described on that page. We do not publish your company's identifying details without your consent.
If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information under the new ownership.
2.4 International Data Transfers
Namaquasan works with suppliers, buyers, and partners across multiple countries, including South Africa, the United States, the European Union, and others. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country other than the one in which you are located. Where required by applicable law (such as the GDPR), we take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.
2.5 Cookies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand aggregate usage patterns, and support analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality.
2.6 Data Retention
We retain Supplier Intake and Contact form submissions for 24 months, or as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements — whichever is longer.
2.7 Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion — request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
Portability — request a copy of your information in a portable format.
Objection / Opt-out — object to certain processing, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Namaquasan does not sell personal information).
Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California, among other jurisdictions, have specific statutory rights along these lines under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA, respectively. 2.8 Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@namaquasan.com and we will delete it.
